The heart is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked; who can know it? I, the LORD, search the heart, I test the mind. Even to give to every man according to his ways, according to the fruit of his doings.

Create in me a clean heart, O God, And renew a right spirit within me. Do not cast me away from Your presence, And take not Your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of Your salvation, And uphold me by Your generous Spirit. Then I will teach transgressors Your ways, And sinners shall be converted to You.
