But when the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy. By the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit.

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go

Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves.

If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.

“If you love Me, you will keep my commandments.

Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor.

Why are you cast down, O my soul, and why are you in turmoil within me? Hope in God; for I shall again praise him, my salvation and my God.

But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace toward me was not in vain. On the contrary, I worked harder than any of them, though it was not I, but the grace of God that is with me.
