1. Acts 8:15
(ESV)
And Saul approved of his execution. And there arose on that day a great persecution against the church in Jerasulam, and they were all scattered throughout the regions of Judea and Samara, except the apostles. Devout men buried Stephen and made great lamentation over him, but Saul was ravaging the church, and entering house after house, he dragged off men and women and comitted them to prison. Now those who were scattered went about preaching the word.

2. Luke 4:1-5
(ESV)
And Jesus, full of the Holy Spirt, returned from the Jordan and was led by the spirt in the wilderness for forty days, being tempted by the devil. And he ate nothing durning those days. And when they were ended, he was hungry. The devil said to him, " If you are the Son of God, command this stone to become bread." And Jesus answered him, " It is written, Maj shall not live by bread alone." And the devil took him up and showed him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time.
