The earth is the LORD's, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it;

Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.

The rich rule over the poor, and the borrower is slave to the lender.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;

You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God.

I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want.

In all things I have shown you that by working hard in this way we must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he himself said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive

But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
