. Good morning/afternoon. My name is Austin Phelps and I am an attorney for the Defense and I would like to ask you a few questions about your testimony, is that all right? . You were aboard the Gigantic the day it set sail . You were the th Officer . You had to answer to someone as a th officer IF ASKED TO REPHRASE SAY HOW HE/SHE WAS ON A CHAIN OF COMMAND . And you took orders from Captain Smith . However, he was not in charge of the ship the night the Gigantic sunk was he . And since he was not in the helm of the ship, the st officer had to take his position . And this was Lieutenant Hightower . Now, you have worked on a boat before, correct . So you know that the Captain is in charge . It is the Captain’s job to ensure a safe trip Transition . Now Mr./Mrs. Boxby, I’d like to talk about the night of the crash. Do you have that date in mind . You were assigned to the radio room, correct . You received two messages in the radio room . However, you told no one about these messages. . In fact, you never notified anyone that there were specifically iceberg warnings . Later that night the iceberg hit . And you said yourself, it was complete chaos on the deck (PAGE , PARAPRAGH ) . You also said you were helping people into lifeboats. . However, while the ship you were on was sinking, the best thing you could have done was to help people get into lifeboats . However, you got into an argument with JB Isman . Just to clarify, in the midst of sinking ship, where it was complete chaos on the deck, you thought rationally that the best thing to do in that moment in time was to argue with JB Isman . Transition . Thank you Mr./Mrs. Boxby. You stated that JB Isman should be hung for ignorance. . And you also believe that the blood of the lives lost were on JB Isman’s hands . Well surely, if the blood is on JB Isman’s hands, it was his job to take inventory of the lifeboats . If the blood is on JB Isman’s hands, it was his job to carry out safety procedures. . Well if the blood is on JB Ismans hands, he should have been the one to control the ship’s direction and speed . Transition . Mr./Mrs. Boxby, you are here testifying against Mr. Isman . And you stated that you wanted to make it out of the sinking, just to seek your revenge in JB Isman . And because of this, in the lifeboat, you wouldn’t have possible given your seat up to someone else . Because you wanted to see JB Isman hung for ignorance. . Transition .
