For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

The Lord is my light and my salvation—whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life—of whom shall I be afraid?

There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love.

The Lord is on my side; I will not fear. What can man do to me?

What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?

He laughs at fear, afraid of nothing...

Why should I fear when trouble comes...

The Lord is my helper; I will not fear.

God is our refuge and strength, and ever-present help in trouble.

Call upon me in the day of trouble, I will deliver you, and you will honor me.

But he said to them, “why are you fearful, O you of little faith?” Then he arose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm.

My heart is steadfast, O God, my heart is steadfast; I will sing and make music.
