Jesus answered, "It is written: 'Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.'"

And He said to them, "Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men."

"Let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven."

But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them.

Keep watching and praying that you may not enter into temptation; the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.

For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”

To grant us that we, being delivered from the hand of our enemies, might serve Him without fear ^in holiness and righteousness before him all our days.

And He said to all, "If any man would come after Me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow Me.

The apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith!” He replied, “If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and planted in the sea,’ and it will obey you. “Suppose one of you has a servant plowing or looking after the sheep. Will he say to the servant when he comes in from the field, ‘Come along now and sit down to eat’?

So you also, when you have done everything you were told to do, should say, ‘We are unworthy servants; we have only done our duty.’”

And so you will bear testimony to me. But make up your mind not to worry beforehand how you will defend yourselves. For I will give you words and wisdom that none of your adversaries will be able to resist or contradict.
