But you, man of God, flee from all this, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness.

Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be very dishonest with much. So if you have not been trustworthy in handling worldly wealth, who will trust you with true riches? And if you have not been trustworthy with someone else’s property, who will give you property of your own? No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money

Anyone who does not provide for their relatives, and especially for their own household, has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.

Dishonest money dwindles away, but whoever gathers money little by little makes it grow.

Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.

The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor.

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God. For just as the sufferings of Christ flow over into our lives, so also through Christ our comfort over-flows.

And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable people who will also be qualified to teach others.

Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.

Moreover, when God gives any man wealth and possessions, and the ability to enjoy them, to accept their lot and be happy in their work—this is a gift of God. They seldom reflect on the days of their life, because God keeps them occupied with gladness of heart.

True instruction was in his mouth and nothing false was found on his lips. He walked with me in peace and uprightness, and turned many from sin. “For the lips of a priest ought to preserve knowledge, and from his mouth men should seek instruction - because he is the messenger of the Lord Almighty

Brothers and sisters, if someone is caught in a sin, you who live by the Spirit should restore that person gently. But watch yourselves, or you also may be tempted.
