So be strong and courageous, all you will put your hope in the Lord!

You can go to bed without fear, you will lie down and sleep soundly.

Don’t let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, and trust also in me

The Lord is my light and my salvation so why should I be afraid? The Lord is my fortress, protecting me from danger, so why should I tremble?

I prayed to the Lord, and he answered me. He freed me from all my fears.

For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.

I trust in God, so why should I be afraid? What can mere mortals do to me?

I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.

Then he asked them, “Why are you afraid? Do you still have no faith?

For I am the Lord your God who holds your right hand, and who says to you, “Do not be afraid. I will help you.”

So we can say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper, so I will have no fear. What can mere people do to me?”
