In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it."

So the Lord God said to the serpent, “Because you have done this...I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel.”

So God said to Noah, ‘I am going to put an end to all people, for the earth is filled with violence because of them. I am surely going to destroy both them and the earth.

I establish my covenant with you: Never again will all life be destroyed by the waters of a flood; never again will there be a flood to destroy the earth.”

The LORD had said to Abram, ‘Go from your country, your people and your father’s household to the land I will show you. I will make you into a great nation, and I will bless you.

Go, walk through the length and breadth of the land, for I am giving it to you.

Abram believed in the lord and it was credited to him as righteousness

Abraham answered, ‘God himself will provide the lamb for the burnt offering, my son.’ And the two of them went on together.

Isaac trembled violently and said, ‘Who was it, then, that hunted game and brought it to me? I ate it just before you came and I blessed him – and indeed he will be blessed!’

Your descendants will be like the dust of the earth, and you will spread out to the west and to the east, to the north and to the south. All peoples on earth will be blessed through you and your offspring.
