For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast.

Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ.

“You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for You created all things, and by Your will they were created and have their being.”

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

So God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.

Know that the LORD is God. It is He who made us, and we are His; we are His people, the sheep of His pasture.

For by Him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were been created by Him and for Him.

“Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty, who was, and is, and is to come.”

Let them praise Your great and awesome name—He is holy.

But just as He who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; for it is written: “Be holy, because I am holy.”

Yet to all who did receive Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God—children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God.

You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.

He is the Rock, His works are perfect, and all His ways are just. A faithful God who does no wrong, upright and just is He.

As it is written: “There is no one righteous, not even one; there is no one who understands; no one who seeks God. All have turned away, they have together become worthless; there is no one who does good, not even one.”

For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at just one point is guilty of breaking all of it.

For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

But because of His great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved.

Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children and live a life of love, just as Christ loved us and gave Himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.

Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous man, though for a good man someone might possibly dare to die. But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.

Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends.

Before the mountains were born or You brought forth the earth and the world, from everlasting to everlasting You are God.

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.

For the LORD is good and His love endures forever; His faithfulness continues through all generations.

I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the beginning and the end.

They will perish, but You remain; they will all wear out like a garment. Like clothing You will change them and they will be discarded. But You remain the same, and Your years will never end.

All Your words are true; all Your righteous laws are eternal.

The law of the LORD is perfect, reviving the soul. The statutes of the LORD are trustworthy, making wise the simple.

God is not man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should change His mind. Does He speak and then not act? Does He promise and not fulfill?

We did not follow cleverly invented stories when we told you about the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but we were eyewitnesses of His majesty.

For prophecy never had its origin in the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.

But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in His name.

God is exalted in His power. Who is a teacher like Him?

The LORD is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and rich in love. The LORD is good to all; He has compassion on all He has made.

So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.

And we also thank God continually because, when you received the word of God, which you heard from us, you accepted it not as the word of men, but as it actually is, the word of God, which is at work in you who believe.

Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.

Every word of God is flawless; He is a shield to those who take refuge in Him. Do not add to His words, or He will rebuke you and prove you a liar.

What you heard from me, keep as the pattern of sound teaching, with faith and love in Christ Jesus.

All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

Preach the Word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage—with great patience and careful instruction.

For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through endurance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.

Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.

And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him.

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.

Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who the joy set before Him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

I have hidden Your word in my heart that I might not sin against You.

Show me Your ways, OLORD, teach me Your paths; guide me in Your truth and teach me, for You are God my Savior, and my hope is in You all day long.

My soul faints with longing for Your salvation, but I have put my hope in Your word.

How can a young man keep his way pure? By living according to Your word. I seek You with all my heart; do not let me stray from Your commands.

Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.

For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.

The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God endures forever.”

But His delight is in the law of the LORD, and on His law he meditates day and night.

When I am afraid, I will trust in You. In God, whose word I praise, in God I trust; I will not be afraid. What can mortal man do to me?

Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path.

For the LORD gives wisdom, and from His mouth come knowledge and understanding.

If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him.

But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.

I have kept my feet from every evil path so that I might obey Your word.

I and the Father are one.

For to us a Child is born, to us a Son is given, and the government will be on His shoulders. And He will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of His being, sustaining all things by His powerful word. After He had provided purification for sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.

Jesus answered: “Don’t you know me, Philip, even after I have been among you such a long time? Anyone who has seen Me has seen the Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’?”

The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us. We have seen His glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.

You will be with child and give birth to a son, and you are to give Him the name Jesus.

Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; He is the Christ, the Lord. This will be a sign to you: you will find a Baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.

Jacob's well was there, and Jesus, tired as He was from the journey, sat down by the well. It was about the sixth hour.

Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, but He made Himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness.

He Himself bore our sins in His body on the tree, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness, by His wounds you have been healed.

For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him.

For, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

Therefore He is able to save completely those who come to God through Him, because He always lives to intercede for them.

This is how God showed His love among us: He sent His one and only Son into the world that we might live through Him.

For we know that since Christ was raised from the dead, He cannot die again; death no longer has mastery over Him.

This man was handed over to you by God’s set purpose and foreknowledge; and you, with the help of wicked men, put Him to death by nailing Him to the cross. But God raised Him from the dead, freeing Him from the agony of death, because it was impossible for death to keep its hold on Him.

“Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?”

We believe that Jesus died and rose again and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in Him.

But if it is preached that Christ has been raised from the dead, how can some of you say that there is no resurrection of the dead?

Whoever claims to live in Him must walk as Jesus did.

Then He said to them all: “If anyone would come after Me, he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow Me.”

Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children and live a life of love, just as Christ loved us and gave Himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.

To this you were called, because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in His steps.

We love because He first loved us.

In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace.

Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. I always thank God for you because of His grace given you in Christ Jesus.

When they came to the place called the Skull, there they crucified Him, along with the criminals—one on His right, the other on His left. Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.” And they divided up His clothes by casting lots.

All the prophets testify about Him that everyone who believes in Him receives forgiveness of sins through His name.

And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.

He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation.”

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be My witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.

We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making His appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God.

I became a servant of this gospel by the gift of God’s grace given me through the working of His power.

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.

Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.

Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God.

You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly.

But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

For if, when we were God’s enemies, we were reconciled to Him through the death of His Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through His life!

Clearly no one is justified before God by the law, because “The righteous will live by faith.”

And if by grace, then it is no longer by works; if it were, grace would no longer be grace.

I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!

I would like to learn just one thing from you: Did you receive the Spirit by observing law, or by believing what you heard? Are you so foolish? After beginning with the Spirit, are you now trying to attain your goal by human effort?

Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law, so that every mouth may be silenced and the whole world held accountable to God. Therefore no one will be declared righteous in God’s sight by observing the law; rather, through the law we become conscious of our sin.

But He gives us more grace. That is why Scripture says: “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.”

Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others.

Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus: Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped; but made Himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness.

And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to death—even death on a cross!

And every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.

You are forgiving and good, O Lord, abounding in love to all who call to You.

All the prophets testify about Him that everyone who believes in Him receives forgiveness of sins through His name.

In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace.

Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!

I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.

Being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.

For it is God who works in you to will and to act according to His good purpose.

Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God—this is your spiritual act of worship. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—His good, pleasing and perfect will.

Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.

From the fullness of His grace we have all received one blessing after another.

Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring praise to God.

Who has saved us and called us to a holy life—not because of anything we have done but because of His own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time.

Finally, brothers, we instructed you how to live in order to please God, as in fact you are living. Now we ask you and urge you in the Lord Jesus to do this more and more.

Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you.

But those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope.

I can do everything through Him who gives me strength.

For God did not give us the spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and self-discipline.
