For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.

The father has sent His Son to be the Savior of the world.

Great is our Lord and mighty in power...

And so the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid; for behold, I bring you good news of great joy which will be for all the people; for today in the city of David there has been born for you a Savior, Who is Christ the Lord.

In the beginning was the Word (Jesus Christ), and the word was with God, and the word was God. He (Jesus Christ) was with God in the beginning. Through Him all things were made; without Him nothing was made that has been made.

For to us a Child is born, to us a Son is given, and the government will be on His shoulders. And He will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise; Give thanks to Him and praise His name.

Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”

For the Son of Man came to seek and to save what was lost.

If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in him and he in God.

But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

He is not here; He has risen, just as He said. Come and see the place where He lay.

He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.

I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes . . .

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be My witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.

If anyone has material possessions and sees his brother in need but has no pity on him, how can the love of God be in him? Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth.

Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.

Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!

But He [the Lord] said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.

For the Lord Himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for a time of adversity.

Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves.

Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord.

Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.

Share with God’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality.

Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn.

Again Jesus said, "Peace be with you! As the Father has sent Me, I am sending you."

How, then, can they call on the One they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the One of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them?

For wisdom is more precious than rubies, and nothing you desire can compare with her.

Where there is strife, there is pride, but wisdom is found in those who take advice.

The quiet words of the wise are more to be heeded than the shouts of a ruler of fools.

For the wisdom of this world is foolishness in God's sight. As it is written: "He catches the wise in their craftiness."

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God.

Your word, O LORD, is eternal; it stands firm in the heavens.

He replied, "Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey it."

I have hidden Your word in my heart that I might not sin against You.

Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path.

Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.

For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.
